I almost didn’t get through Season 1, but I stuck with it and am glad I did. Our Fair City is the story of an apocalyptic world, ravaged by climate change, and focuses on the policies – err people (and Mole People) – of HartLife who go from being completely controlled by the Company to fighting for their rights and freedoms. At first, for me, there was just too much going on at one time, but towards Season 3 everything started to fall in to place and I couldn’t turn away. I had to know how the story would end, though didn’t want it to end either. There are many characters being juggled throughout the story but none of them feel like they don’t belong, and most of them are allowed to develop over time in the best and worst (of course there are villains) ways. The voice actors play some of the most fun characters I’ve heard in a while. I think Dr. West (or Herbert, as he prefers to be called) is my favorite character voice-wise. I love how he goes through a wealth of emotions, octaves, and bliss brought on by SCIENCE(!). Though he is my personal favorite, the other characters are done well too. //Somewhat unrelated side note, I learned today that their website also has digital comics related to the story on it. If you’re in to comics and enjoy the story I’d suggest looking in to those as well//
