Melody Livingston is a part of the first landing crew to step foot on the surface of Mars. However, just an hour after arrival, she is the first to expire among her crew. She is now stuck on Mars without her body and has to learn to deal with her demise and the fact that all of her friends can no longer see or hear her, but her death may lead to discoveries that no one ever thought possible.
