This is definitely one of those shows where you have to pull out the 'three episode' rule (give it three episodes or so before you make your decision). It does take some getting use to, and you have to adjust yourself to the charm. But once you adjust your expectations, the appeal of the show makes itself so much more obvious.
Paired is an ingenious concept well-executed. Liz's Pairy is delightful. The ten minute episodes are such a great way to start the day. Check it out!
I have LOVED this podcast from the very first episode. I began listening because it sounded like an amusing short diversion - a few minutes of humor to balance out the intensity/length of whatever serialized audio drama I was listening to at the time (possibly We're Alive? I was late to that game 😬).And at first, that's exactly what it was! But Pairy is such an intriguing and appealing character that by the 2nd or 3rd episode, I found myself wanting to get to know her better, wishing for longer episodes, and hoping for an over-arching plot3 seasons in - I'm hooked on the plot (yes, there IS a plot!), I care about Pairy (and a certain someone else - avoiding spoilers 😁) quite a bit, and she's even more appealing and intriguing than ever. I'm even *sort of* okay with the average episode length 😬 - although short, they're rich with character and plot development, and always infused with both humor and pathos. #Pairy4You
A wonderfully funny show. Every episode is perfectly bite-sized and just a delight to listen to. Great writing and acting!
Absolutely amazing podcast! Hilarious, wholesome, and surprisingly moving. Five stars! 👍
Sweet, sharp and very funny. If you want to spend 10 minutes with a peppy little AI out on her own, you need to listen to Paired
Smart-home AI just wants to be helpful; She jumps around from device to device (not limited to one home) going on adventures and trying to guide her poor human through whatever uncomfortable situation they've found themself in. (I cannot describe this in a way that communicates how much fun it is. Just try it.)This show is hilarious. I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but I gave it a go and I'm so glad I did. It's light-hearted, bite-sized episodes, and they're all independent (at least so far) so you can put them on in the background for a giggle or gunshot them (like I did).
A delightful podcast that imagines the internal lives of your snarky, mischievous digital assistants and owners who seem to be having relatably awful-hilarious days. Guaranteed to put a smile on your face.
Paired is genuinely one of the most original podcasts out there. The idea of Pairy the AI becoming sentient and trying to get an understanding of the world is genius. As you begin to wonder how the show can evolve, the AI manages to escape the confines of the room to connect (pair) with all sorts of devices in the world around them. There is an underlying story arc, about which I don't want to give too much away - it is only briefly and occasionally touched on, but is incredibly moving. This is all helped by the acerbic wit of Pairy, some brilliant and very funny writing and exceptionally talented guests. Since the episodes are short, this show is an easy binge so go on, get connected.......get yourself Paired.I'm so sorry
It's been awhile since I've been quite this excited about a new-to-me podcast. I learned of it through Civilized. Liz Anderson was so great in her guest role that I subscribed to Paired while they were still talking after the episode. Paired is laugh-out-loud funny (I'm usually one to enjoy laughter on the inside), sweet, and thoughtful. Bonus is that I'm okay with listening around my kids (I'm on season two), and the humor is something they can get into as well. Paired is rapidly becoming a favorite of mine.
This show is smart and laugh-out-loud funny. I stop in my tracks and laugh regularly. I'm not joking. Paired is a damn delight and I can't wait to see where it goes next.
A very charming and funny podcast that takes a quick look into different people's lives with a very personable AI. Would recommend, a great way to spend 10 minutes
