"Playing on Air" (https://playingonair.org) is a series of one act plays written, directed and acted by known writers, directors and an actors. The topics range from the absurdity of every day life to dealing with the of 9/11. There are about 60 episodes ranging from 15 minutes to 45 minutes. There is something for everyone. For example: "My Husband" by Paul Rudnick about a mother wanting her gay son to get married (very funny). It stars Harriet Harris and Michael Urie "The Blizzard" a mystery/thriller written by David Ives about a snowed in writer with unexpected guests. Stars Jesse Eisenberg, Alfredo Narciso, Heidi Schreck, and Sarah Sokolovic. "Wanting North" by Tanya Barfield about two enslaved sisters spin a poetry of escape and today's the day. It stars April Mathis and Rebecca Frank. My favorite so far. It's a play called "Relative Strangers" by Sheri Wilner. The blurb says “On a flight to South Carolina, a young woman(20's) selects a new mother". It's stars Julie Halston, Debra Monk, and Merritt Wever. It's funny and very touching. Check it out.......
