Apple's Podcast Connect is shutting down!… for about 8 hours.

Apple's Podcast Connect, the service used to refresh podcast feeds in iTunes and Apple Podcasts will be under maintenance Saturday, April 22nd starting from 7 a.m. pst and until about 3 p.m. PST.

Now, this might sound like a big deal, but if you have a weekly podcast, you can either post it the day before or the day after to ensure your listeners get it as soon as it is live, or you can still post it to your feed, and once the maintenance is done your listeners will get the update.

Also, if your listeners use other apps like Podcast Addict, Overcast, or Castro they will still get it if you post it in this small window iTunes connect will be out.

So, this is kind of a non-story but I feel like you all should know about this beforehand so you don't freak out when you post your show on the 22nd and you don't see it on iTunes.

So be warned, your show may not show up for the most part of the 22nd if you post your show between 7 a.m. PST and 3 p.m. PST.
