The New York Times is making a Serial styled podcast, but there is no word of when it is coming.

The New York Times recently announced they are doing a serial style podcast at NewFronts Presentation.

NewFronts, according to Digiday are

the digital media world’s answer to the upfronts, the presentations networks make to media buyers of their slate of new shows for the upcoming season.

So basically it is a way for media companies and networks can announce upcoming shows and content.

But what caught my attention was this podcast The New York Times announced that is supposedly in the same realm as the widely popular shows Serial and S-Town.

As far as I could tell they are just announcing that this show is in the work, with no real release date as of now, but still comparing the show you are working on to Serial and S-Town are some pretty big comparisons.
