About Rodney Owen:
Rodney Owen is a Counsellor and Founder of Bloke Support, Sydney’s leading men’s counselling and support service. He started working at Lifeline as a Crisis Telephone Counsellor where he spoke with hundreds of people about mental illness, loneliness and suicide. He also worked as a Mental Health Support worker where his clients lived with Bi polar disorder, depression and schizophrenia and he has also worked as an Alcohol and Other Drugs Support worker in a residential drug and alcohol rehab for teenagers. He established Bloke Support in 2011 where he supports men, families and couples with issues such as depression, relationships, anger management, stress and work issues.
Rodney has been featured in various media outlets including radio, The Sydney Morning Herald, The Age, The Canberra Times, Channel 10’s The Project and Channel 7 News.
Rodney is also an author. His first book Eat Fruit, Laugh and Have Sex: 101 way to reduce stress helps people dealing with stress. It offers 101 tools everyone can use to manage and reduce stress. It will be available from Amazon in May.
