Hey there, Percopton. You haven't heard from me in
0:02
a while. My son was born on April 8th.
0:05
He was a whopping nine and
0:07
a half pounds and his name
0:10
is Kalian Marvo Campbell. My
0:12
wife Ross and I are very excited.
0:14
We're also very busy. And that is
0:16
why you've not been getting episodes because
0:18
even though I worked with people to
0:21
get a buffer of guest hosted episodes
0:23
together before little Kalian showed up, the
0:25
case is just that all of those
0:27
people and myself were too busy to
0:30
make it happen. So there will not
0:32
be any additional practical stoicism episodes until
0:34
the 6th of May. And I know
0:36
that's a bummer, but you know what?
0:39
I know you all understand, for
0:41
one, and I appreciate that.
0:43
And for two, this is a
0:45
great opportunity to go and catch
0:47
up on the back catalog of
0:50
this podcast because spoiler alert, there
0:52
may be some very big changes
0:54
coming to the availability of that
0:57
back catalog, which relate directly to
0:59
me now being a father and
1:01
needing to kind of get this
1:03
podcast into ship shape form so
1:06
it operates smoothly, consistently, and importantly,
1:08
reflects all of the knowledge I've
1:10
obtained over the last few
1:12
years of doing this show. Some of
1:14
those older episodes aren't written the way
1:17
I would write them now. I've learned
1:19
more. And so I am considering a
1:21
reboot of this podcast. Now that doesn't
1:23
mean you're not still going to get
1:26
awesome, excellent stoic content from me, but
1:28
it does mean that that older content,
1:30
it might not be available anymore. Now
1:32
that's not going to happen today or
1:35
tomorrow, but it might happen. And this
1:37
is more than fair warning, I think,
1:39
especially given the fact that it may
1:42
not happen. But spend these next couple of
1:44
weeks while I'm away learning how to be
1:46
a dad and oh my God, let me
1:48
tell you, for those of you who are
1:51
parents, wow, I had no idea. For those
1:53
of you who are single parents, I don't
1:55
know how you have survived this. I mean,
1:57
it really is nonstop work. It's like having
1:59
a having a smoke alarm that is going off, you
2:02
know, a smoke detector in your house that you
2:04
can't quite reach, but the battery needs to be
2:06
changed. So it's chirping, but then there's a little
2:08
smoke in the kitchen and so now it's just
2:10
constantly going off and you just have to learn
2:12
how to hear that noise all the time without
2:16
letting it affect your mood or the
2:18
quality of, in this case, care you're
2:20
giving to your child. Wow, it is
2:22
insane. It's a big adjustment.
2:24
And while that last statement might make it
2:26
seem otherwise, it's an adjustment that I am
2:28
really enjoying. And it is going to take
2:30
the rest of this month and until May
2:33
6th for me to be in a position
2:35
to be back here producing episodes. So take
2:37
this time to enjoy the back catalog. And
2:39
if you have anything you need, just reach
2:41
out to me. I'm still trying to answer
2:44
emails when I can between diaper changes and
2:46
cranky diaper rashes and things like that. You
2:48
can email me at Tanner at no sages.com.
2:50
Thank you for your understanding. I'm sorry it's
2:52
taken me a week to give you this
2:54
update. It really has been that busy. And
2:56
I will see you again on May 6th.
2:59
Until then, take care.
