1313 Main
Jeremy (aka “J”) and I sat down at one of our favorite spots in Napa…1313 Main. This is a great place to get treated right, get some good wine and just chill. One of their specials last Friday was Larkin’s ’08 Cab Franc from Napa Valley. I haven’t had a lot of success with Cab Francs, so, I was a bit reluctant when J suggested it. To my surprise, this one knocked it out of the park. This wasn’t the least expensive wine in good ole 1313…they had a 5 oz pour for $20….$60 for a bottle. To me, that’s a lot of money for wine, but, as J explained it to me in the podcast, if you compare this to the price of a good Cab Sauv in Napa, this is a pretty good deal. This does stand up to a Cab Sauv and would make for a good replacement for your next ribeye.
