We're back with more episodes from RP after a six month break! And we're giving away $100 to Guitar Center! Details below... In this episode (Episode 92), the OG founders of Reverse Podcast, Brenton Miles and Bryant Urich sit down behind the mic to unpack their stories and how Cor Captis officially began.  With our American culture influenced so easily by various forms of art, politics, and media persuasion, it doesn't take long to realize why we've become more divided as a nation.  It's time for creatives to take their roll in becoming the change... now more than ever. Truth amidst the lies... love amidst the hate.  With this song "Overcome This", Cor Captis is doing their part to sing truth back into our culture... "Light shines from the goodness of our heart and grows brighter overcoming all the dark... we are the power of a spark" - "Together we'll find a way to overcome this." So as RP, we're opening up the conversation to you as the listener to explain what's helped you overcome a certain area in your life along the way - What are some songs, books, articles, or tv shows/movies that have helped you examine your situation differently and help you overcome? We want to hear from you! Join our private Facebook group to join the conversation! (here) OK! Here's how you sign up for your chance to win the $100 gift card: Go to Follow the instructions, and you're set! It's super easy and we'll announce the winner on June 29th! Episode 91| Camden • "Finding your sound // Creating what you love"
In Episode 91, Brenton sits down with a longtime friend Camden (artist) to talk about the creative process of songwriting. It's something that looks different to everyone, but also has a lot of common ground and similarity no matter who you're writing with. "Some people know their sound right away... but what it took for me was hearing my voice on a lot of different recordings showing me what my voice sounds good on, and what my voice doesn't sound good on." Camden has had the opportunity to travel the world over the past couple of years being based in Nashville, TN, and has been able to meet different producers and songwriters to expand his creative approach to songwriting both for himself, and others. Check Camden's new song out "Friend" on iTunes, Spotify, or wherever music is sold - And be sure to give him a follow on Instagram @camden_music Don't forget to jump on board with the Reverse Podcast Cø private facebook group! Episode 90 | John Sherlock • Faking it 'til you Make It (in Front of 30k People)
In episode 90, Brenton and Bryant sit down with professional photographer and hair stylist, John Sherlock.   John's story is one of the most inspiring stories you'll find. Humble beginnings, big breaks, and capitalizing on opportunities are just a few of the amazing things John shares in this nugget filled episode. If you're a creative, you HAVE to hear what John has to say.   John Sherlock is a Nashville based photographer and hair stylist. He stumbled in to the fashion industry in a big way and said yes to some big opportunities that were put in front of him. Without hesitating, John was placed on stages in front of 30k+ people to do something that he didn't feel qualified to, but excelled at.   "Sometime, I still felt like a poser"   He pushed through these moments and achieved great success on the other side, ultimately to discover his love for beauty and the human face. Photography became a huge passion and he started capturing moments for all sorts of people. Now, John primarily focuses on wedding photography and still does hair out of his amazing home studio in Brentwood, TN.   Creatives of all types can benefit from John's willingness to just say "yes" and "fake it 'til you make it" mentality. You never know where life can take you when you're a good steward of what's put in front of you.   To find out more, follow John on social media and check out ⏪
