Good Neighbors is probably one of the most creative and queer Monster of the Week podcasts out there, and that is thanks to a cast full of out-of-the-box thinkers led by their Keeper Lee. First of all, the character concepts are incredible: we have a warlock crooked, a conspiracy theorist expert, a haunted con-man mundane, and a dollar-store wizard--from the first episode you have immediate sense of who these characters are and what they want. But this is only possible with the cast, who are not only hilarious and charismatic, but they also play off one another so well! Some of my favorite episodes are the interludes where they pair off and have little mini-adventures, and each character-character dynamic is slightly different. Truly, though, Keeper Lee is a wonder. They not only have an incredible knack for voice acting, but they also have a gift for narrative that is evident throughout the show. Honestly, if you want a masterclass in improvisation and storytelling, look no further; I've learned so much just from listening to this show alone. All in all, this show has it all: a fantastic gm, a hilarious cast, and crisp editing. If you haven't already listened to them, what are you waiting for?
