Welcome to Episode 11 of Slightly Evolved! Our guest is Carly Lynsdale, a PhD student at the University of Sheffield. This week we are talking about parasites and elephants! Carly tells us about her research on the evolutionary ecology and conservation physiology of semi-domesticated Asian elephants, specifically, on how individual variation between elephants affects host-parasite dynamics. We also talk about her experiences of doing fieldwork in Myanmar and what makes the elephant system she studies there so unique. As always you can contact us via email ([email protected]), Twitter (twitter.com/slightlyevolpod) or join on our Facebook group (www.facebook.com/groups/664596143711550/).
