Welcome to Episode 12 of Slightly Evolved! Our guest is Professor Craig Primmer, Academy Professor at the University of Turku, and soon the University of Helsinki. Craig tells us about his career path and how the field of population genetics has changed since he started his research in the early 1990s. We talk about some of the latest findings from his research group, including the discovery of a large effect locus at the centre of a sexual conflict in Atlantic salmon. We also discuss some of his groups future plans with a recently awarded ERC advanced grant.
