Dedicated to raising awareness about socially responsible business practices, HEC Paris was proud to host its 7th Annual Social and Sustainable Business Conference “The Challenge: Change, Measure, Sustain” on 28-29 May 2010. Part of the courses followed by the MBA students, this event brang together key corporate, not-for-profit and government decision makers, forefront philanthropists and the next generation of leaders from the international business school community. Over the course of two full days, panelists and speakers from diverse backgrounds and a multitude of nationalities exchanged ideas, experiences and insights on topics such as social entrepreneurship, media’s role in sustainability, and the need for a new economic model, among others. As a leader in the field of sustainable business education, HEC Paris aspires to contribute to the development of a more responsible and informed corporate environment and to prepare its graduates to lead the businesses of tomorrow in a visionary and responsible manner. “The Challenge: Change, Measure, Sustain” is one initiative among many implemented towards this principle, and offers a unique opportunity to highlight the key issues involved in the development of the social business model.
