Perception influences our thoughts and actions. So when we think we are something, i.e., a label, we take it for granted that others share our worldview, especially when we are children.
It's not until we grow up and discover that everyone has their own perspective that we begin to grasp how complicated communication can be. And this awareness can even change our identity.
