The next day, Rusty debuted in the Major Leagues and delivered in his first career at-bat in Diamondbacks jersey. A line-drive single to left field.

Rusty, went on to play 4 more years professionally with organizations in Tokyo, Japan, Atlanta, Los Angles, and Philadelphia before retiring from baseball in July 2014.

In 2017 Rusty became a StoryBrand certified copywriter and guide in the inaugural StoryBrand Certification Program under the tutelage of Don Miller. With the guidance of Don and his amazing team, Rusty began using his knack for persuasive selling to help small business owners worldwide create clear captivating marketing strategies.

In his quest to become a professional copywriter, Rusty decided to turn to his original Jedi teacher of direct response copywriting, Ray Edwards. Rusty, coincidently met Ray at his StoryBrand certification program and to this day draws from Ray’s beliefs in prosperity, purpose, and the power of direct response copywriting to change the world.

When Rusty isn’t writing Major League copy for brands like Ziglar Inc., Ray Edwards Int’l, Chalene Johnson’s 131 Method, and Cliff Ravenscraft, he loves spending time with his amazing bride and entrepreneur Erica and his three sons…Asher, Bowen, and Rocco. (and could be more...)
