Excellent podcast. The premise of the show offers plenty of material, if only because of the huge amounts of art stolen by the British army around the world, and the stories behind that. Marc Fennel, the writer and narrator, knows how to build a good narrative arc around the stories, unearthing the full story of the items, and including historical context. In addition, the sound engineering and editing is top-notch as one would expect from a professional studio. All of which makes for captivating episodes that are very much worth listening to. If you're interested in history and art, this is a five star podcast series that you should definitely subscribe to. It's great stuff!

Quite interesting but too negative about the poms legacy, this would have been better if balanced with all the amazing things British empire also GAVE to the world. They gave far, far more than they took. In my view.

More wasted money from the ABC. This guy has dramatized history from his holiday - paid by the tax payer. And it is particular bad timing considering the queen has only recently passed away. Very rude of a government funded agency. Maybe he would of been better doing a show called "What the British did for us!'
