Rom’s Story
- Rom is 19 years old.
- He’s currently a sophomore in college studying digital marketing
- He has a top 100 podcast called Spreading Success
- He noticed people like Gary Vee that were creating content.
- His dad was an entrepreneur, but his interest in Entrepreneurship came organically watching and listening to content.
- He has now started a company around podcasting
Creating Content
- START as early as possible.
- The earlier you start, the better off you’ll be.
- Don’t be afraid to put yourself out there.
College
- Rom was fortunate to get a full ride scholarship.
- College is for some people, but not for everyone.
- If you go to college, take advantage of clubs and networking.
- There are so many entrepreneurial opportunities!
- College is a cushion between high school and the real world.
- It’s a great opportunity to explore and test things out without super high stakes.
Podcasting
- Rom started his business journey with drop shipping.
- He went to an event and one of the speakers at the event was Casey Adams.
- Casey told the group that the #1 thing they should do is start a podcast.
- Rom immediately ordered a microphone, and made a goal to start a top 100 podcast.
- He made a list of the people he wanted on the podcast. Many of them have been on the show!
- Think of a podcast as a free mentorship call.
- It’s basically a FaceTime call with a microphone.
- Be clear on your goals. For Rom, # of listeners isn’t as important as the relationships he is making.
- Find something that brings VALUE and PASSION.
- Rom has decided not to monetize his podcast.
Podblade
- Rom and his partner, Apple Crider, have started a professional podcast editing company. They will edit a show for $20/episode.
- Rom got connected with Apple, and they started talking about podcasts.
- Over time, Rom proved that he was serious about podcasting and improving.
- Eventually, Apple offered his editor to Rom.
- Now, they are running a full podcast editing company.
Facebook Communities

- Don’t allow people to spam links! Instead create specific threads.
- Send personal invites to get people into the group.
- Create a safe space.
- Create value.
- Make the group fun!

- Get in on newer social networks like TikTok
- Create content specifically catered to different platforms. LinkedIn content should be different than Instagram content, which should be different than TikTok content…
