She was a prolific speaker on the abolitionist circuit and helped slaves escape through the Underground Railroad.
In Minnie's Sacrifice, the main character is of mixed-race heritage, but raised by Northern White adoptive parents. She later moves to the South after accidentally discovering her true heritage.
