This is my go-to podcast that I wait impatiently for every fortnight. The main reason for this is how it is presented and the subject matter.
The presenter, affectionately known as the leader of concerned citizens worldwide, has a monotone flavour to it that I normally wouldn't appreciate. But, boy do I now! There's no bull sh!t overly personalised judgements to listen to but storytelling with random gems of sarcasm and wit. Never breaking the monotone flair. It's like crack (I think?), you are left hanging for it throughout every podcast, and when you hear it you feel instant comedic pleasure. And the yearning begins again.
The subject matter is an equally rewarding experience of which the mono-sarcasm is made for. You hear real stories that seem unbelievable and the pauses in presenting guide your brain to absorb the inconceivable with a smirk and a giggle.
Do yourself a favour. Listen to Swindled. Not just one, but a minimum of five episodes. This unique method of storytelling will feel strange at first. But it's worth every minute and you'll be hooked!
