TAKE A SEAT, is a weekly, half-hour audio podcast that discusses the intricacies between
people of color and the arts/humanities. We discuss the success of POC artists in white or
male-dominated fields and the struggles they faced on the road to achieving their dreams.
We focus on the difficulties and successes that come with higher education and career
aspirations and illustrate the struggles that come with entering fields dominated by our white
counterparts and how we, as People of Color, need to overcome systemic barriers in order
to succeed. We interview up-and-coming artists and college students in fields our
production team and audience are interested in.
