I recently had to share my understanding of the concepts with my Community Development Class. It got me thinking of how we were raised during a time where equality was the goal, and equality is what everyone wished for. But seeking equality alone isn't going to change the circumstances for people who face unique barriers. We need equity to ensure our community is accessible to all.
