In this episode, James talks over Skype with Jennifer Imazeki. Jennifer is a Professor of Economics at San Diego State University where she conducts research in the economics of K-12 education, including work on school finance reform and adequacy, and teacher labor markets. The whole conversation lasted over an hour so will be broken up into two parts. During this first part, James and Jennifer talk about her blog Economics for Teachers and about economics education in high school. They also discuss why so many people love teaching history in high school but so little go and teach economics.
