I love the mix of storytelling and background information and how much is packed into just 8 minutes. This is a great resource for deeper Bible study.

I have been a Christian for more than 30 years. I have never read the Bible through completely. There are some passages and books and letters I must have read 100 (1000?) times, but I have never made it through completely, nor have I been able to maintain a regular daily practice of reading the scripture. This year, 2021, I have fallen in love with the Bible in a new and precious way. I finally understand what David meant when he would sing about loving God‘s laws and statutes. I finally understand. Jesus has been my saviour, God has been my Lord… But now the word of God dwells so much deeper and more meaningfully in my heart. The Bible… the Word of God… it’s where my joy and delight is. The podcast offers insight into a daily Bible reading – which are organised chronologically – and often draws out links/connections to passages elsewhere. I have found that very useful in leading me into deeper Bible study. The podcast itself is brief; the host Tara-Leigh has a pleasant, friendly, professional demeanour (and obvious love for God and his word); and it is well produced. The Bible readings can be followed using the Bible app/Bible reading plan or following a printed copy of the same plan which is available at theBibleRecap.com. I truly believe if you are looking at reviews of this podcast, you are going to want what it offers. Start today. The Bible holds so much joy for you, too.
