Alright, so "Hi!" I’m Gayathri, a senior in a Pennsylvania high school, and I moved to America when I was around six years old, then went back to India and then came back to America permanently when I was around seven. The reason I decided to start a podcast is because I want to share what it’s been like for me growing up as a first-generation Indian-American immigrant. Since I was young, there have been a variety of race-specific and culture-specific stereotypes following me around, and I want to increase awareness about Indian culture and encourage a discussion about some of the struggles that several Indian-Americans face in trying to blend in with their classmates often at the expense of their own identities.
