Starting a podcast was going to be a hobby for me.  It was just something I thought would be fun and would play to my strengths because I can have DMCs with people all day long! 

I started a very amateur podcast 5 years ago and it was just recorded on my cellphone, only audio and terrible sounding audio at that!  The content was amazing though because I interviewed the one and only Simone Penn.  That was the Free 2B Curious Podcast infant. 

My podcast is an exception - I have to do it all myself?  And then I tried to edit that episode like a pro and I felt that I just wasn't doing the content the justice it deserved by being my own editor. In fact I wasnt helping any episode by trying to learn editing while trying to host.  The content in my episodes was just too good for that amateur editing.  

I hopped onto Upwork around 10pm that night (sleep and I were going through a separation in our love-hate relationship at that time) and put up a post looking for a podcast editor.  There were so many responses I was completely overwhelmed but one response really stood out.  It was from Miguel Rimorin all the way in the Philippines.  His response practically jumped off the screen with enthusiasm and care for the work I wanted to do.  Upwork hadn't classified him as "best fit" but since I was taking the plunge to outsource anyway (GIANT LEAP!), why not take the plunge and follow my gut (GIANT RISK?) about this guy at the same time (RISK APPETITE WAS TOTALLY EXHAUSTED BY THIS POINT!!)

While a sleeping toddler on my shoulder Miguel, another insomniac, and I had a zoom call around 4am his time! From that moment on, the podcast didnt just sit all on me - I had a collab and Miguel and I havent looked back since. 

With that support and all Miguel's belief in the brand and the guests we host we ran right into recording more and more episodes and that is how we ended up with a Season to begin with!  

We are recording Season 2 next and you will start seeing those episodes coming out from the beginning of June!
