In 1969, at the original Woodstock Festival, Sridhar Silberfein first had idea to produce what would eventually become Bhakti Fest, Southern California’s largest and most beloved yoga and spiritual music festival.

In the 50 years in between, Sridhar traveled the world studying and teaching yoga and meditation, was a NYC real estate tycoon, opened one of the first natural health food stores in L.A., started a hugely successful organic cosmetics company (and was directly responsible for bringing tea tree oil to America), plus hosted some of the most influential spiritual leaders on the planet at his Topanga Canyon retreat center.

By all appearances, Sridhar has lived a blessed life. But don't be deceived thinking any of it was easy. Just last year he faced his biggest professional and personal challenges to date. One was having to find a new home for his beloved Bhakti Fest, after ten years at the same location. The other being diagnosed with prostate cancer.

Adversity does different things to different people. For Sridhar, he did what he's always done and continued doing yoga, meditating, studying, being of service and letting love guide his actions. And guess what?

HE IS CANCER FREE.

This is what makes him so interesting. While others are chameleoning their way through life, Sridhar faces his challenges head-on.

He's a hard dude to put in a box. Some might say he's a mysterious enigma, while others might say he's a selfless spiritual conduit. The truth is, he is both.

"From the earliest time I can remember I was a free spirit. Because I realized that, sure, there are laws and rules and regulations but they are man made.”  ~ Sridhar Silberfein
