Today I’ll be sharing some tips that will help you avoid social media burnout, while staying connected to your clients. And of course some of these tips will include how to leverage your videos to be present with fans, even while you’re away.

I was reminded this week of a common mistake new wellness entrepreneurs make when they start to create online marketing content, and that’s feeling like they have to keep creating more and more content. In reality, we don’t need to create as much content, but learn to share our existing content more and –something I like to do is share other peoples content if it’s useful to my clients.

Video Tip:

Create a video message each week for your facebook page or group. I call these types of videos, personal message videos. Its you talking into the camera directly to your audience. Use the pin post feature, so the post stays at the top of your page.

Why create personal message videos?

  • It’s more personal and authentic than a text post
  • People can see and hear you
    • There’s power in seeing someones facial expressions and hearing their voice
    • Helps people feel like they know you or have even met you.
      • I know that can seem kinda creepy, but you want to build that kind of trust with your audience. People do business with people they know, like, and trust. Video is a powerful way to build that trust.
  • It’s fun!

What to talk about in these videos:

  • What’s happening in your business and life
  • Give some tips related to your business
  • Let people know where else they can learn from you, like emails, up coming events.

How to get make better personal message videos:

  • Don’t hold your phone or camera. Place it on a tripod or a surface level to your face.
  • Create a quick outline of what you want to share in the video and try to stay on topic, unless your inspired to go in a different direction.

How to get more lifespan from your videos:

  • Create it once and share it often.
    • here’s a trap many new and seasoned content creators fall into, we keep creating more and more content without doing much to share and reshare great content that we’ve already created. Think of it in terms of writing a book. Authors and publishers spend lots of time prompting books. We can do the same with our content.
    • One idea is to create different social media images that link to the same content. Or create different custom thumbnail images for your video.
    • Get over the fear of annoying people by multiple sharing of the same video.

A note about pinning a post in groups and the mobile view…. the actual post won’t be visible, but viewers of the group can still access the post and see that there’s a pinned post.

Slow Down. Take Time To Renew.

Creating videos and sharing them serval times and several places will keep you top of mind with your audience, but gives you the freedom to do offline activities for your business. And just as important is taking time for personal care and recharging.

Meditation and mindfulness, slowing down and stepping away from the business.
