More fragments of the Dead Sea Scrolls are discovered by accident in modern Jerusalem. Once translated they reveal for the first time evidence of Christianity's beginnings and new information about Jesus and his life. But they also reveal the existence of something hidden in the desert near the Dead Sea, something that may forever alter the understanding of Jesus and Christianity itself, if it can be found before the antiquities thieves can get to it. The story then moves to the 1st Century Judea and world of Jesus, his followers, Pilate and the Romans, the Jewish Sanhedrin and Essenes. Based on current research and told through a swirling cast of characters spanning two continents and twenty centuries, The Q Fragments is a page-turning ride into what history and textual criticism might tell us about the real Jesus, his companions, and what may have really happened two thousand years ago.
