Episode 6: How To Rock A Conference – IRL And Virtually by Rise and Grind

In this episode, I chat about working you 1st or 100th conference.

Here’s the steps:

1. Scope your passions (Find a conference that hits your passion and brand.) BlogHer, Blogalicious, Blavity’s EmpowerHer & AfroTech, AltSummit, ABFF, SXSW, Lesbians Who Tech are great places to start!

2. Sticker Shock? Try Volunteering and/or Speaking! (reduced or free admission)

3. Virtually attend via a hashtag! #BlogHer17, LWT2017, etc.

4. Buddy up and connect via a hashtag, FB Groups, etc.

4.5. Dress for the conference city you are traveling to – not your original starting point. Bring a light jacket, always!

5. Follow with the relationships you’ve made!
