The Summer of Forking Lines is a site-specific audio series that plunges the listener into new poetry practices. 18 poets creating in Finnish, Russian, Swedish, English, Latvian, Arabic and other languages, are to be the leadings characters in the project. Each of the six episodes invites the listener to engage in a dialogue with the poet in a situation where a person is left alone: while sitting on a sea shore, walking around a park or a city, cooking dinner, jogging or getting ready to go to bed. Each episode is accompanied by a note explaining how and where it would be best to listen to it. The project was commissioned for CulturaFest, a contemporary culture festival: www.culturafest.fi.
