“Wrestling Mark”
Definition: a slang term that describes a fan who idolizes a particular wrestler, promotion, or style of wrestling to a point some might consider excessive.
“Total Marks”
Definition: Two guys in their mid-30’s watching wrestling from the mid-to-late-90’s.
Dave and Rob met in 7th grade homeroom in 1996.
They immediately bonded over a mutual love of professional wrestling.
During the peak of the “Monday Night Wars” between WWF and WCW, Dave and Rob would sit on the phone (years before social media) while flipping back-and-forth between Nitro and Raw on TV. They would commentate/ridicule/praise the shows, while sitting in their bedrooms full of wrestling memorabilia...like only a “mark” would.
Fast forward 20 years later, Dave and Rob sit down on a weekly basis and watch these old shows back again. Now, while commentating as mid-30’s wrestling fans wishing that the “good ol’ days” would come back.
Only a “Total Mark” would take the time to do something this ridiculous.
Dave and Rob are “Total Marks”.
This is a “watch along” show. That means you can fire up your WWE Network and watch these episodes with Dave and Rob as they commentate them. But, if you just want to listen you’ll still get plenty of hilarity, insight and entertainment from hearing Dave and Rob react to the most ridiculous/awesome/legendary moments of WWF and WCW.
