Author of Whawha Was Here: A Memoir, Unathi Kapa, is passionate about actively creating spaces conducive to constructive conversations around child-rearing in the broader African context and with focus on her immediate isiXhosa culture.  Her vision for her published memoir is to be a catalyst for such discourse, beyond her own personal story.

Unathi is also a Rhodes University graduate in Political Science and Organisational Psychology, a self-professed social commentator with a broad interest in societal issues that touch us all. She also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Enterprise Management from Rhodes University.

From time to time, she puts on her musical hat as a recording artist, with stage name, Lholho. Her EP, titled Wela, was released in 2018.
