Victims Voice is a Podcast by a former CPS worker providing tools, tips and techniques to improve all aspects of life. The host shares his personal experience as a child removed from his home by CPS and then working to prevent the removal of children from their homes. Personal stories as a foster child growing up in the system and as a caseworker, Lenny provides information which can be pondered and applied as applicable in everyday scenarios.
Several examples of planned topics will be:
• relationship messages which address the need for communication in a relationship
• the role we each play and various ways we can improve our own role in the relationship.
• Being a Domestic Violence victim, how we can identify if we are a victim of verbal, physical or emotional abuse.
• Parenting tips and tricks
• General thought topics, which address how we perceive situations and allow people to examine their own actions
The Pod will speak to victims who have overcome a tragedy and have a message they feel will help others. These messages will be a lot like “I Survived” for people who have overcome something but Lifetime has not called them at this time.
Other topics which the Pod will address are relationship and other social concerns with a former Child Protective Service Family Based Worker and other professionals in the field as available.
Plans also include taking listener emails and working through problems or concerns people have as well using a panel of “celebrity” (of all levels) and professionals in the various fields (Law Enforcement, CPS, advocates etc.).
