Swim 4 Vets is training for a Catalina Island Channel swim in August of 2017 to raise money for our homeless veterans. Charity is Father Joe's Village.Diana is a wife, mother of 4, artist, triathlete and open water swimmer. She is the founder of Swim 4 Vets and currently works two jobs. Full-time as a Graphic Designer for the Phoenix Convention Center and part-time as a private party manager for American Valet. Diana was diagnosed with Scoliosis, which is an abnormal curvature of the spine, when she was just 10 years old. Diana wore a corrective brace for the 2 ½ years but unfortunately the curve continued to get worse and at the age of 12 she had corrective surgery. To this day Diana still has a Titanium Steele rod attached to my spine from T-2 to L-1.Diana started Swim 4 Vets two years ago when she was training for a solo attempt at swimming the Catalina Channel. Unfortunately, Diana suffered a shoulder injury which resulted in surgery, thus bringing a halt to her solo swim before it even started. Despite the setback Diana was still able to raise some money for the two veteran charities that were designated for her solo swim. Still wanting to swim the Catalina Channel, Diana put out the call for fellow swimmers to help concur a challenging swim and take care of the men and women who have valiantly served our country."I am truly honored to have such amazing swim talent on Swim 4 Vets relay team."www.Swim4Vets.org
