The “Warplanes to Siberia” podcast provides a behind-the-scenes look at a little known, yet extremely vital aspect of World War II history on the American home front. Overshadowed by the great battles in both Europe and the Pacific, few people in the United States have ever heard of Lend-Lease or the Alaska Siberia air route and the incredible accomplishments made by, not only our military personnel but, ordinary citizens in the matter of four short years. We are working with leading historians and subject matter experts from the United States, Canada, and Russia to produce a highly-accurate and authentic documentary film and flight re-creation project to tell this amazing story and demonstrate what our countries can achieve when working together, both then and now. It is an important story that needs to be told. Please join us and our special guests to discover for yourself how desperately-needed war materiel and aircraft were produced in the United States from depression-era factories and flown over an obscure North American air route, year round, to secure our northern border in Alaska as well as help our Allies, including the former Soviet Union, overcome the onslaught of Nazi Germany. It is a story of heroism and sacrifice, like no other, that helped ensure the ultimate victory during World War II.
