Joining us again on this Episode of Warplanes to Siberia - "Flyin' the Route" is award winning author Sarah Byrn Rickman to discuss the history of America's first military pilots, the Women Airforce Service Pilots or better known as the WASP.  Sarah is one of the foremost subject matter experts and has written many books about the WASP including WASP of the Ferry Command: Women Pilots, Uncommon Deeds. Twice, Sarah was awarded the Combs-Gates award which recognizes efforts that celebrate the human effort behind the technical/scientific role of aviation.

Please join us as we hear more stories and warp up our discussion about the courageous service and the sacrifices this group of incredible women pilots gave to their country during WWII.
