There are a few things that my wife is very good at making, and one of them is making cookies with our daughters.
Danielle’s Mom made cookies with her and she likes connecting with our daughters continuing this tradition.
POINT #2: The Power of Traditions
You and I are passing on traditions everyday to our children, whether we’re doing it intentionally or not.
We teach our children what they should believe, eat, and how they operate in life because it’s something familiar and comforting to them.
POINT #3: Family Day
When we establish a set family tradition, it provides consistency within our family and something that are children amy or may not implement into their lives later on.
And yet, when we experienced a family tradition from our past that no longer serves us, we can replace it with another tradition that does as we create our own family unit with our spouse and meld with her traditions.
QUESTION OF THE DAY:
Where in your Core 4 (body, being, balance and business) do you need to start consciously creating better traditions, especially within your family?
CHALLENGE OF THE DAY:
Write in your War Map (journal) what these traditions are that you would like to start implementing with your family then share it with your wife.
QUOTE OF THE DAY:
“Traditions, by default just occur, whether you intend for them to or not. And yet there are these traditions that we learned as kids that no longer serve us. We still do some and then there are certain traditions that no longer me and so I don’t do them. You truly have the power to impact your family based upon the traditions that you establish.”
