In 1988, Mehran Sahami showed up at Stanford for the first time as a freshman, having never visited campus before. He went on to become an RA, an RCC, and an RF during his time as an undergraduate and grad student. His involvement in the CS106 section leading program inspired him to explore teaching as a career, and motivated him to pursue a PhD at Stanford to make it happen. He is currently known for his involvement in the CS department and for teaching Stanford’s introduction to computer science class, CS106A.
