Whilst divorce is fairly common place with 42% of marriages ending in divorce in the UK, half in the US, about 40% in Canada and 30% in Australia, we still carry shame around it. We are also, for the most part, doing divorce badly. In this episode, joined by Divorce Coach and Strategist, Nikki Parkinson, host Jennie Guay dives into what you can expect from yourself, your ex and the legal/court process; from the spectrum of emotions you may not expect, to having to attempt mediation with your ex before court, to the unavoidable legal fees, the lies that can be told without recourse, the importance of avoiding "yes" people, and the parental alienation tactics that can ensue. Divorce is often a shit storm. But it doesn't have to be.
