The payoff episode to our first “dialogue that tugs at the heartstrings” prompt. Starting off with some invisible cars and Macbeth discussion.
Cinderella, shadow and bone, and book adaptations. The first of our “dialogue that tugs at the heart strings” prompts.
The first payoff from our new batch of prompts was semi successful. Despite the extra time we both struggled to write what we intended. As always our characters decided they knew better and took our scenes in a different direction.
The first of our dialogue prompts like a love letter. We are quite reminiscent of previous scenes we’ve written and discuss what direction our characters should take.
Brin used this prompt opportunity to show a darker side of Nesrin and Ricky attempted to write a somewhat coupley scene.
The last of our question / quote prompts. Despite not having many options we nearly ran out of time before we chose! Discussing Clueless and plotting our stories may have distracted us a bit…
Our characters took their time getting to their dialogue prompts this payoff episode but that just means going back and filling out our scene breaks another episode.
Our 3rd? 4th? Setup episode using question and quote combo writing prompts. But Ricky is still binging One Piece and needs to discuss Zoro, and Brin looks back to a previous story she wrote.
A typical movie chat intro but this time admiring Pirates of the Caribbean and One Piece. Our second payoff scene for this round of prompts ended up having a lighter and somewhat comedic tone compared to our usual writing.
Round 2 of our question and quote combo for prompts . Starting out with a brief Squid Game and Alice in Border land chat before we dive into who says what for our scenes this week.
The first payoff of our new prompts! With our individual challenges made for a unique spin on our arguments, regret and curtains.
The first of our new batch of prompts. A random selection of quotes paired with a question. After our selection and thinking up a scene to fit we go into a bit more detail about the house in Woodland Debtor .
The last pay off for our March writing challenges! A “grand” apology with our chosen quote gave us a bit of a struggle when it came time to write.
The last of our prompt set! This time, instead of a random selection, we choose what prompts we want to use and combine leading to a very lively discussion.
A quick movie recommendation to get us started before diving into our payoff! With the challenge to keep a balanced tone in Brins scene and more world building for Ricky we work with last episodes’ prompts.
Another set up episode where we weren’t sure how the heck we were going to use the prompts but you can watch us slowly piece it together. You will also hear a brief feature of Ricky’s dog as he gets annoyed that the neighbours dared to come hom
A brief observation of country music before heading into our payoff episode. Both our scenes ended up being good world building exercises while getting a better look at the everyday for our characters.
Another setup episode using the March writing challenge where we will be forcing ourselves to be a bit less dramatic for pt 2.
The newest payoff episode and possibly our longest payoff? Full of drama and speeches and new plot points from unmapped stories.
Our second set up episode and then some problem solving for Ricky’s puddle story.
Our first payoff episode! A party, arguments and revelations all neatly tied together in one scene. Plus a dog break right at the end.
Our first set up episode of the season! Listen for our first goals or challenges for each other to help improve our writing and listen in pt 2 to see if we succeed.
We’re back! And have a vague idea of what we’re doing now. Without a set up episode we went straight for a scene we’d been wanting to write for quite some time but first a quick update on some changes for season 2.
We gave each other a random prompt for our last payoff episode and discuss a few k-dramas.
Apologies. Brin is a bit quite, not sure why. It is the last of our 3 dialogue prompts but starts with some The Batman chat. Don’t worry, no spoilers.
