Eta Shifting Offshore; Series of Pacific Storms to Impact the West -  The center of Eta will pass just offshore of the coast of South and North Carolina through Friday morning. Widespread minor to moderate and scattered major river flooding is occurring in the wake of Eta. A series of storm systems will continue to impact the Western U.S. into next week with damaging high winds, heavy coastal rain and heavy mountain snow.
