In this podcast we discuss the Tantric Relationship Between Yoga and Shamanism. Yoga and Shamanism are seen by some as mutually exclusive, however I've found they are actually two sides of the same tantric coin.

Both are systems of spiritual evolution that include technologies that purify the mind, body, and soul to enable more of our soul awareness to shine through. However, while yoga concerns itself with daily practices that include meditation, pranayama, movement, and life-style, the shamanic path utilizes plant medicines and ecstatic states.

While many schools of yoga discourage the use of any "intoxicants" I would argue that far from being intoxicants, plant medicines are just that - medicine - which if used properly accelerate our spiritual evolution.

My journey with plant medicines began in 2019 after eight years of Kriya yoga practice. Initially I was hesitant to work with plant medicines because the two things seemed incompatible. However, in working with plant medicines I quickly learned that plant medicines are a portal to direct communion with the divine, and can beneficially accelerate the spiritual path.

Yoga practices and lifestyle are the best foundation I've found for plant medicine work. The moral restraints of the yamas and niyamas and the practices of pranayama and meditation create a firm spiritual foundation that enables one to integrate plant medicine experiences in a balanced and beneficial way.
