This episode embodies all that is great about this podcast. Despite Nikki's many high-profile TV appearances, NETFLIX specials, tours and so on, it's uncomfortable [but relatable] listening to her discuss why she often feels like a giant imposter. Having recently switched-off her instagram comments, Nikki shares the mental health pitfalls of the platform. Again, highly-relatable. Her view on the fan/celebrity relationship is priceless. "I used to hear famous people say "I have the best fans in the world", and I was like, "really?" Now a legit celeb herself, I admire her complete 360 flip on this. Finally, any artist listening to this episode will nod along like a chimp when she denounces our tendency to avoid asking for creative help in fear of looking like we're inept at the one thing we're supposed to excel at. Immense.
