RATING
Very interesting, framing was well done, it was pretty easy to keep track of the timeline and various scams and victims. I appreciated that they brought on specialists to speak about Munchausen, not just the victims.
Needs some serious editing. I listened to the first three episodes and they are mostly uncut, lengthy rambles from the people being interviewed. After three episodes I’m still not entirely clear what all the person being investigated is alleged to have done — faked an illness, raised money off that, credit card fraud to her mother…? Maybe it gets better but I have it 3 eps to catch my attention. With some actual editing, a coherent framing, and structure, the underlying story may be interesting but I am not invested enough to find out. Might be good for people with more patience than me though!
Felt more like an audiobook than a podcast. Nicely queer, enjoyed it, voice acting was good, would listen to a sequel :)
