I really loved Parkdale at the start but lost enthusiasm as the plot and the big bad gets revealed (personal preference, not bad writing on their part) but still finished it without regret.
Woodbine pops up on my feed and I give it a shot. The first episode was a little rough but inoffensoive so I carried on and I'm glad I did.
Woodbine is more 'monster of the week' with a big heart and a big sense of humour. Likable characters, a rich world, sometimes deeply creepy and sometimes heartbreaking. Not as slow and atmospheric as the previous series, which maybe be a con for some, this is fast and punchy and I'm looking forward to seeing where they go next.
