I’ve not completed the whole show just yet, but my love for the episode ‘Once.wav’ required me to write a glowing review. Woe.bg is an excellently written story with a surprising amount of subtle and sarcastic humour. The main character is frustratingly relatable (I say that with equal parts hubris and honesty) and the story line always stays just one or two (or more) steps ahead of the listener. There is a fair amount of graphic depictions for disturbing subject matter without being gratuitous. The triple threat of excellent voice acting, captivating story line and innovative music makes this audiodrama a must listen.
In the world of audio fiction, there are few that intrigue as well as give hope. While I can’t necessarily say I’m an apostle of the mythological Main character, I do appreciate their philosophies and capacity for forgiveness and understanding. I would strongly recommend this beautiful story if you are looking for a reprieve from the confusion that is our world.
Such a beautiful and ingenious anthology. Like a hybrid of Limetown mixed with Black Mirror but with the emotional triggers of a fiction novel you can no longer remember that impacted your life philosophies nonetheless. The audio is so well done it feels the same as watching a movie with your eyes closed.I cannot recommend this audio series enough!
