About This List

Heard a trailer on Merely Roleplayers and thought 'I want to go to there'? There is here. Everything we've ever trailed on Merely Roleplayers, in one place.
  1. DnD RAW is a party of friends who mostly follow rules as written (RAW) for Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition with unearthed arcana material. We have two diverse parties in our actual play podcast, Serviceable Plots and Rumble Squad, who deliver compelling storytelling with laughs along on the way. On our second show, Rules As Written, we are joined by some of our favorite podcasters as we debate and discuss rules of fifth edition in our endless quest to push the game to its limits. Twitter: @RulesAsWritten Website: DnDRAW.com Email: dm@dndraw.com
  2. Women and men playing a science fiction RPG together in a completely improvisational style. Follow the misadventures of a bunch of space faring idiots as they try to make a living picking up random jobs and constantly repairing their space freighter.
  3. A podcast for Dungeon Masters, bringing you content for your game. Each episode is something you can bring to your players, from a single magical item all the way up to a whole city.
  4. In this, the era of the extended cinematic universe, two brave (read: stupid) heroes take it upon themselves to fashion a coherent narrative from the entire Looney Tunes collection in the hope of making some of that sweet, sweet WB dollar.
  5. Stories of adventure and suspense. One bad die roll at a time. TRF is an Actual Play podcast focused on having fun playing all the systems we can get our hands on. We release new episodes every Sunday!
  6. Seasons of Skyrend is a custom 5th edition D&D adventure that focuses on the stories of our characters as they try to survive in the world around them. The year is 164 A.T. The fifth age has been marked by recovery and rebuilding efforts since a great global catastrophe commonly referred to as The Turn. Cities fell, rivers were rerouted, and mountains came crashing down as whole continents were shaken to the bedrock. Our players begin in the city of Karami. The city lies on the central peninsula on the continent of Carricar. Karami fared better than most cities after The Turn. Like most of the continent, Karami lies in a state of perpetual autumn. Because of where it lies, the city also has much more night than day. Our story begins in The Bard’s Rest, a tavern on the west side of the city. Where we go from there all depends on the choices our players make.
  7. Dames & Dragons is a comedy D&D actual play podcast with a detailed original setting, lots of stupid jokes, a mystery or two, and some fumbling attempts at heroism. Join our cast of teen Guardians as they protect their Goddess from monsters, traps, social awkwardness, bread mold, and murderous ancient deities—among other things. Updates every other Monday! www.damesanddragons.com
  8. A group of misfits and weirdos, go out and explore the continent of Renob, running into kobolds, medusas, and the occasional deity. The Legion of Renob, a tabletop gaming podcast revolving around Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition, is a comical and confusing romp into the homebrew world of Renob. Dragonface, Mizetto, Lenny Swifthands and High King Seebo meet and recruit a cast of crazy characters to aid them on their quest. If you like Tabletop Gaming, RPG, Role Playing, Kuo-Toa, Pirates, Ninjas, Samurai, Booty, Magic, Magyk, Magyc, the Gathering, Animorphs, Tangents, Weirdos, Treasure, Polymorphy, Cat People, Kittens, DnD 5E, Dungeons and Dragons, DandD fifth edition, or gaming in general, then the Legion of Renob is for you! Check out our website! legionofrenob.com

  11. Rashemen is a land steeped in superstition, ruled by witches and entrenched in snow. Berserkers reign and spirits roam the frozen wastes. Yllairies, Keilah, and Mépris all have their own reasons for journeying north, but they soon find they have something in common—they are pawns in a divine plot. Join the broads as they unravel the mysteries of Rashemen. The Broadswords is an all-women and non-binary actual play D&D podcast.
  12. Tails from The Dark Dragons Inn is a long-form, serialised, high-fantasy, improv fiction podcast driven at its core by tabletop role-play. Released weekly every Sunday at 10:30AM BST. Hosted and Game Mastered by Ray Stevens, accompanied by his players, Tom (Erbak), Liz (Tobe), Vinny (Mhurren) and Nina (Myx), with occasional guest appearances, he invites you into a world both familiar and strange, these adventures take place in a home-brew alternate version of the Forgotten Realms. The core cast of Tails from The Dark Dragons Inn features a diverse group of players who've come together from across the country to tell the shared tale of “The Scales of Justice”, a band of heroes (though some would call them mercenaries). Our story is told through improv and tabletop role-play, however, for the purposes of the show, much of the mechanical aspects of this are removed, cutting the fuss and leaving the story and character interactions behind. What starts as a simple 'muscle for hire' job, brings the party together to aid a city under siege and the civilians within. A cult, known only as the Cult of the Dragon, seek to unleash Chaos in the world and as our heroes learn of their plans, the race is on to put a stop to their ambition. In classic high-fantasy fashion, the overarching problem of the plot is seemingly almost insurmountable in scale and by extension, each character is dealing with their own personal goals and issues which we develop throughout the show. You can find out more about the characters, the world and what's going on through our website https://tailsfromthedarkdragonsinn.co.uk. If you have any questions, feedback or suggestions for the show; please feel free to contact us on twitter @DarkDragonsInn

  19. "Voices at play" is an actual play podcast, created by the team behind the project of the same name. Our goal as a group of diversely marginalised people is to fund, promote and create content around games written and designed by marginalised creators. Tabletop Roleplaying Games, or TTRPG are a type of game designed specifically for people to get together and tell stories with. These stories can range from the magical worlds of tolkein-esque fantasy to the grittiest noir thriller. It's a hugely diverse genre that is dominated in the popular narrative, by a tiny handful of overwhelmingly big names. Dungeons and Dragons, Pathfinder and Shadowrun are the ones you've probably heard of. These games, however good they may be, are designed to tell very specific kinds of stories. They can certainly be adapted to tell others, but there are hundreds of games out there that are specifically designed to tell different stories! Voices at play aims to use them to do so. The "Voices at play" project goes beyond simply focusing on games though; we want to focus on the people behind them. As with a lot of classically "nerdy", "niche" hobbies; the face of TTRPG is largely lead by straight white men. In a genre so heavily dominated by the big names at play, we want to work to create space at the table for everyone. To do that, Voices at play focuses on games by marginalised creators and our project is run entirely by marginalised people. We want to demonstrate the value in diverse, inclusive gameplay and introduce you to as many new games and creators as we can along the way. Our podcast and ongoing efforts are funded entirely by our generous supporters. You can learn more about our project, through our website https://ttrpg-voices.com or our patreon page https://patreon.com/VoicesAt where you can pledge, for as little as $1 a month, and join our ever growing community, helping us to raise our voices.

  26. 10
Penance RPG is a homebrew style of RPG podcast created out of the belief that actual play storytelling should allow for not only free player choice for any and every decision but equal consequences to these decisions. We believe this allows for an organic style of storytelling rarely seen anywhere else whilst still retaining a deep love for fantastical tales of castles and characters. As all bard’s tales should, we work to not only tell our own tales of heroism and heretics, but also blend our own ideas with tales that have passed around the fires many times over to create fresh blood for older stories, telling them in such a manner that breathes new life and a different style to a tale that some of you may have heard more than 956877 times before.... We offer lovable characters, dastardly villains, dangerous scenery and chaotic situations all in an attempt to bring you something different from your standard dungeon crawl.
