The more I listen to this show, the more I gain an appreciation of author Georgette Heyer. Like the host Sara-Mae, I was introduced to Heyer’s Regency romances via my Mum, who adores them. I always thought of them as a guilty pleasure. So it is quite validating to hear people such as Stephen Fry and Emma Darwin speak of their love for the stories!
Listening to Heyer Today as Sara-Mae and her guests discuss Heyer’s life and stories feels like sitting with friends - the show is accessible and warm, and there is a genuine love for the subject that shines through.
