174 Oscar Rios - The Lovecraft Country Holiday Collection
Join me as I talk with Oscar Rios about about his latest Kickstarter, The Lovecraft Country Holiday Collection. If you enjoyed the holiday themed scenarios "Halloween in Dunwich" and "Christmas in Kingsport" from the old Chaosium monographs Halloween Horror and Christmas In Kingsport, then you’ll want to back this, the 11th Kickstarter from Golden Goblin Press. This campaign features two books, a roleplaying supplement (The Lovecraft Country Holiday Collection) and it's cosmic horror fiction companion (Children of Lovecraft Country). https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/golden-goblin-press/the-lovecraft-country-holiday-collection https://www.goldengoblinpress.com/ https://www.facebook.com/GoldenGoblinPress/ https://www.mu-podcast.com/mup-145-rule-britannia-stuart-boon/ https://www.facebook.com/crista.moeller/videos/10157698302039548/?__tn__=%2CdC-R-R&eid=ARB-zOD6uvG7okrgF25RqIU7CnWWki8CWqHQ7FOK4jSU6z7CE_QCnj2pGvCaFGF_QJ2E44YNL7T-BO5Y&hc_ref=ART6h9T6uS-CrSz7pB2gUZHnOKlE6gSHfHsQukyk2leLLFLDejlx2u0NbDkzeuybL6U&fref=nf https://www.birdscoffeecompany.com/coffees/legends-of-tabletop-legendary-brew Use Code Legends10 to get 10% off your order Theme music created by Brett Miller http://www.brettmillermusic.net/
Fear Itself 25-2 Brothers
Jack Crandall – Brett Randy Anders – Kurt Erin Shaughnessy – John GM – Neil Once they arrive at the outskirts of the village Erin and Randy don’t see anyone or anything moving. Moving up cautiously they see blood in the square and on a few of the cabins so they decide to walk the perimeter to see what they can find. They are able to befriend a dog that was locked in one of the cabins and also find a journal. The journal says that people have been going missing and that two hunters found a “creature” eating one of the missing townsfolk. They move on to another cabin with a barking dog looking for survivors. They dog backs away, growling but they are able to coax it to take some food and back him down. It seems like the dog is protecting the pantry and when Erin opens the door he finds a young girl named Sophia. She wants to know where her mommy and daddy are and says some people went off with Reverend Joaquin into the forest. While Erin makes food Randy heads off to the little church. The chapel itself looks pretty normal but when Randy enters the rectory it looks more like an abattoir then a place of worship. There are parts of different people strewn about the bloodied room. Luckily Randy also finds the Reverend’s journal where he speaks about finding a strange set of bones in the forest. The Reverend comes to a revelation that he must consume the flesh of his congregation to save them. With darkness encroaching Randy and Erin quickly investigate the other cabin and prepare Sophia’s cabin for a siege. https://www.birdscoffeecompany.com/coffees/legends-of-tabletop-legendary-brew Use Code Legends10 to get 10% off your order Theme music created by Brett Miller http://www.brettmillermusic.net/
Victory at Home and Abroad - Investigators for Social Equality (NecronomiCon 2019)
VICTORY AT HOME AND BEYOND: INVESTIGATORS FOR SOCIAL EQUALITY There are only a handful of people of color, gender non-conforming, and/or sexual orientation non-conforming creators making Lovecraftian horror role-playing games. Most of these people are from groups Lovecraft himself would have cast as villains or their own horrors in his stories. How do we create stories that are true to the bleak Mythos vision of the universe while still telling diverse stories that represent everyone in cosmic horror? When the stars come right we will all be equal, so let’s hope we can pull it together before that happens. This panel will touch on this topic, and the work that still needs to be done in our industry towards inclusion, diversity, and equality. This panel done in partnership with Golden Goblin Press Panelists: Gwen Callahan, Charles Gerard (M), Lynne Hardy, Andrew Leman, Jeffrey Moeller, Nicholas Nacario, Oscar Rios https://www.birdscoffeecompany.com/coffees/legends-of-tabletop-legendary-brew Use Code Legends10 to get 10% off your order Theme music created by Brett Miller http://www.brettmillermusic.net/
